Can you help my friend?  This phone call message from a friend in America John Bestebroer woke up with. The coach and players of the USA para table tennis team were already a few days in Rotterdam-The Netherlands to take part at a tournament, but were not satisfied about the organization. The next morning, John went to their hotel and spoke with the coaches. They told him the situation and that traveling with public transport to the sport location on the other-side of Rotterdam is really not what they want and also that a training of 1 hour in 4 days is not why they came for to Rotterdam. Besides other issues they were telling, John asked what the need was and how he could help. In 1 hour he arranged a private bus for them, including a driver (John) and a team manager during the whole tournament who speaks dutch (John). He could also arrange a training location for the USA para table tennis team. The only condition was that they could give a demonstration for the foundation Sport Compass at a school where students were studying Sports Business and Sports Management.  A great win-win situation!

For 4 days John became the team manager and made arrangements for various needs and activities for the players and the coaches. Also the family who came over supported the team with translation or general information about Rotterdam.

John was glad to hear that everybody was very satisfied after the tournament about his involvement without any preparation and at such short notice.
